Over the last eight years and 100 issues of The Vocabula Review we have devoted ourselves to producing and publishing this journal, certainly the principal web destination for anyone interested in words and language. But it has come at a high cost. The income from our modest subscription fees is not nearly enough to cover the costs of maintaining and improving The Vocabula Review website. It's not enough to pay our writers; it's not enough to pay our editor. If 1,000 people each contribute $50, we'll be better able to continue publishing this monthly journal.
Few organizations, and even fewer websites it seems, do not ask for money. Clearly, we cannot contribute to all who would have us do so, but it also seems clear that each of us must decide, among all who would ask, which petitioners we should heed.
If you'd like to become a Vocabula sponsor and contribute $50, $100, $250, or more, you will have our thanks and some assurance that The Vocabula Review will endure another day.
If you represent a business or corporation, a college or university, and you prize well-spoken, well-written English, please consider making your values known by sponsoring The Vocabula Review.

For your $1000 donation to Vocabula, we will give you and four of your friends, family members, or colleagues a lifelong subscription to The Vocabula Review (this is a $1250 value). What's more, we will give, in your name, a yearlong Vocabula site license to the library, institution, or business of your choice (itself a $1500 value).
